Sezen Aksu’s – “Biz de Yeniden Başlarız” Is Out Now!
Sezen Aksu’s Highly Anticipated Album “Biz de Yeniden Başlarız” Is Out Now!
Turkey’s most beloved musical icon, Sezen Aksu, has just released her brand-new studio album, “Biz de Yeniden Başlarız” (We Start Over Again), across all digital streaming platforms. This 9-track collection marks a nostalgic yet modern milestone in her career, as she reclaims and reinterprets hits she originally penned for other legendary artists.
Produced by Sezen Aksu and Murat Bulut, the album features a stellar lineup of arrangers including Mustafa Ceceli, Mithat Can Özer, Ozan Bayraşa, and Aytuğ Yargıç. The album’s striking visual identity was designed by the acclaimed creative Ali Taran.
A New Life for Timeless Hits
The album offers a fresh 2026 perspective on songs that have shaped the Turkish pop landscape. Here is a look at the tracks released today:
- Aşk Dansı: Originally performed by Erkan Güleryüz, this new version—arranged by Mustafa Ceceli—is a high-octane, Latin-infused dance anthem perfect for the upcoming summer.
- Müstahak: Once a dramatic staple for Ebru Gündeş, Aksu’s rendition is a sophisticated Bossa Nova piece, offering a more reflective and poised tone.

- Gel Kıyma: Reimagined from Sibel Can’s 2005 ballad, it has been transformed into a modern dance track with deep, driving basslines.
- Canım Olmaz Ki: This is the only brand-new song in the collection. While the melody carries a familiar Mediterranean soul, Aksu’s new lyrics and minimalist piano make it the emotional centerpiece of the album.

- Zehir: A masterpiece originally from Levent Yüksel’s 1995 era. This 2026 update is a dark, hypnotic trip-hop track that highlights Aksu’s haunting vocal maturity.
- Kiraz Mevsimi: Reimagined from Cenk Eren’s 2003 hit, this version is a bright, Mediterranean acoustic track filled with the energy of spring.

- Sizli Bizli: Previously a Gülben Ergen hit, it now features a sleek pop-jazz arrangement, emphasizing Aksu’s legendary theatrical delivery.
- Mış Gibi: Another favorite from the Gülben Ergen catalog. Aksu brings it into the present with 2026-ready synth-pop elements while keeping the sharp, ironic lyrics intact.

- Yani: First made famous by Linet, Aksu closes the album with a breathy, intimate low-register performance that feels like a private conversation with the listener.
