Popular Music Group Manifest Relocates to London
Popular Music Group Manifest Decides to Leave Türkiye: Next Stop London!
Manifest, one of the most talked-about girl groups in the Turkish music industry that quickly reached a massive audience, has made a radical decision. It has been reported that the members have decided to close the house they shared in Türkiye and relocate their careers to London. Aiming for the global music market, the group’s sudden move has resonated widely across the music world.
First Step on the Global Stage Taken in Kosovo
Prior to their relocation decision, the group faced their first major international test in Kosovo. Performing at the prestigious Sunny Hill Festival, organized by world-renowned singer Dua Lipa and her father Dukagjin Lipa, Manifest met with music enthusiasts in Europe. Sharing the festival ecosystem alongside mega-stars like Katy Perry, the team has now completely turned its path toward the UK for future projects.
Each artist in the group is preparing to stand out with different projects during the London transition. While project details continue to take shape, the group’s main vocalist Sueda Uluca, main dancer known for her energetic performances Hilal Yelekçi, and Lidya Pınar, who draws attention with her powerful vocals, have already accelerated their studio work for upcoming releases. Professional dancers who shape the crew’s choreography and stage presence, Esin Bahat, Mina Solak, and the beloved member Zeynep Sude Oktay, have also completed their preparations for the new creative workspace in London.
The Concert Veto by Çorum Municipality Had Sparked Debates
Manifest’s decision to leave Türkiye also brought back memories of recent friction with local authorities. During the recent “City Meetings” event in Çorum, when a young child requested a Manifest concert, Çorum Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın had taken a very strict stance.
In response to the request, Mayor Aşgın stated, “As long as we are in office, no Manifest girl can step foot into Çorum. Our city is clean and beautiful; Manifest will not come here.” While this statement sparked huge debates on social media, Aşgın later clarified that there is no legal barrier preventing the group from entering the city, but emphasized that the municipality would strictly refuse to host or sponsor any such organization, standing firmly behind their decision.
Industry insiders point out that artistic restrictions, concert cancellations, and negative reactions from local administrations in Türkiye prompted the group to move to London to broaden their creative freedom. How this new era—where all six members will live together in London—will reflect on Manifest’s musical style is already a matter of high curiosity.
