As 2025 drew to a close, the Istanbul-based narcotics investigation entered a new phase. In December, the legal inquiry significantly expanded its scope, shifting focus toward Gen-Z icons, high-profile social media personalities, and figures frequently appearing in the nightlife scene.
Investigation Details and Charges:
The proceedings were carried out under the Turkish Penal Code, specifically targeting activities related to substance use and promotion. The individuals involved were questioned under the following legal grounds:
- Purchasing, accepting, or possessing drugs or stimulants for personal use.
- Providing a place or equipment to facilitate the use of substances.
- Encouraging the use of illegal substances through digital platforms.
Following the standard judicial procedure, those named in the investigation were summoned to the courthouse and subsequently escorted to the Council of Forensic Medicine to provide biological samples for analysis.
